Family Pictures

It has been a crazy couple of weeks as I have tried to get in as many sessions as possible while the weather is still nice. I appreciate everyone's patience as I work through the images and get your CDs out to you. I have been so fortunate to have met so many wonderful kids and families. Thank you!

One of the funnest parts of doing this business is going back and looking at pictures a few days after a session. It is so exciting to open the images! My husband teases me because I often sit at my computer with a smile on my face. Sometimes I laugh out loud. I can only hope that all of you also have the same reaction when looking at your final images.
This picture is one that made me laugh out loud. It SO completely symbolizes, to me, what it is like as a parent to take family pictures. Things don't always go as planned, but the greatest memories and images of childhood can be captured. Sam wasn't into taking pictures so I decided to get some of Mom and Dad. As we were sitting there, he came running up behind them. I don't know about all of you, but this image just typifies the beautiful craziness of parenthood.

The Spivey Family

Sam was one of the funniest little boys! He was not going to let on that he enjoyed having his picture taken, but once we got started (and let him play a little) he really got into it. I understand that he personally picked out his sweater and hat as well - he's definitely got a great fashion sense for picture-taking! Here are a few of my favorites.

The Knutson Family

Cayden, Carson and their Mom and Dad were one of my first portfolio-building sessions this past summer. They have been such fantastic clients and have shared their pictures and my name with so many people! It was an honor to get to photograph them again this Fall. It's so fun to see how kids change and grow-up in just a couple of short months. Instead of an urban sessions, we ventured along the greenway near their house. It was a beautiful Fall afternoon and I enjoyed getting to visit with this wonderful family again! Here is your sneak peek!

Emily and Jon

Emily's Mom called me about taking pictures of her daughter, Emily, and Emily's boyfriend, Jon. Initially, we didn't think schedules would work. But Jon decided to come a day early and I was able to squeeze them into my schedule before all their other Homecoming activities started for the weekend. I was so glad it worked out! These two were so stinkin' cute and really fun. It was such a pleasure to talk with them. Hope you had a terrific weekend - thanks for kicking it off with picture-taking.

Haleigh was so much fun! She had LOTS of ideas for her pictures. What a personality and what a terrific smile! It was just a joy to spend some time with her.

Mercil Family

You've seen these girls before on this blog. It is so fun to take their picture! The Mercils are are very good friends. Their girls are the same age as ours and they all go to the same schools and do gymnastics together. So we all spend a lot of time together! Although it was a little windy, we had a beautiful day to do this session. I was honored they asked me! Here are some of my favorites.

The Skrtich Family

I met up with the Skrtich Family at Lindenwood Park in Fargo. It was a beautiful Fall evening - the leaves were just starting to turn colors. I especially loved getting to explore somewhere new (outside of Grand Forks!). They are a gorgeous, incredibly friendly family and the boys were so well behaved. Thank you so much for spending time with me - I had a blast!

Kadon

Kadon's Mom has been SO patient waiting for this sneak peek! He was such a pleasure to photograph - and he loved running around the park! I just love his little hands on that big football. Too cute! And that adorable laugh........Look out! He's quite the charmer, that's for sure!

The Johnson Family

It was a beautiful evening for the Johnson family's pictures. Unfortunately, the mosquitoes thought it was a beautiful night too! We dodged the swarming bugs for these family photos. But the Johnson's were great sports and were willing to try a couple of locations. Here are a few of my favorites.....

Abigail and her Mom and Dad!

Abby was an absolute doll! Look at her! So sweet! And I just love those little fingers and toes! I had a great time at the park taking pictures of Abby and her Mom and Dad. They are the cutest family!
